What should I expect from skin cancer treatment?
We take a comprehensive approach to the removal and surgical treatment of cancerous and precancerous skin lesions at Plastic + Hand.
Surgery is performed on an outpatient basis at our state-of-the-art surgical center.
After your skin cancer is removed by one of our plastic surgeons, the entire surgical margin is immediately examined on-site by our board-certified pathologist using CCPDMA technique (Complete Circumferential Peripheral and Deep Margin Assessment).
Once clear margins are confirmed, the skin cancer site is immediately reconstructed by the plastic surgeon. If a flap or a skin graft is required for closure, our surgeons perform the closure at the same time.
You go home the same day confident that the skin cancer is gone and that the site has been expertly reconstructed. You can rely on the best plastic surgical techniques performed by a surgeon expertly trained in aesthetic and reconstructive repair of the skin.
