Patient Story: Sofía
Sofía’s decision to have a breast lift wasn’t overnight.
“It has been one of my dreams since I was a teenager,” she says. “At that time, I gained so much weight and started losing. After that, my skin was never the same.”
Weight fluctuations changed her breasts
Sofía looks back when her body changed.
“I gained almost double my weight,” she explains. “When I gain weight, the first spot is the boobs. When I lost all of it, it was a drastic change in my body, and it forever changed my breasts.”
Her new body shape impacted her life.
“I didn’t like that feeling of something dropping and heavy and always needing to use a bra,” Sofía says. “Even in my private intimate moments, I never showed my breasts, and it was very hard for me. Nobody saw me naked for years, even being married. I never showed my breasts to my husband until I had this breast lift.”

“I was nervous, but anesthesia was great. I really like to travel, and the last thing I remember was talking to my nurse about the places I want to see,” says Sofía.
She says that a week after surgery, she was already feeling good.
“Of course, I was still healing, but nothing was complicated, and everything was perfect,” says Sofía. Four days after surgery, she got her first peek at her results.
“I had my shirt off, and I was in my surgical bra,” she recalls. “After years of not liking what I saw, I had to be brave to look at myself in the mirror. Even though I knew it would take time to see the full results, I was so happy that it looked really good.”
Life-changing results
Sofía chose a breast lift with no implants because she liked the shape of her natural breasts.
“I feel so good now. It helped with my back pain and changed what I wear,” she says. “I used to have some dresses you can’t wear a bra with, so those weren’t options for me. Now I can wear them without a bra. I don’t have anything dropping, and I don’t worry about the heaviness. My body is more symmetrical now.”
This breast lift also led to more significant changes.
“I have more intimacy with my husband, I feel more secure, and I feel like I’ve overcome this issue in my life,” says Sofía. “My breast lift made me realize how easy it is to change something so painful for so many years. I feel like it changed my life completely.”
